It’s an exciting season of growth for Dignitas. As we buckle down and pursue our 2023 to 2028 strategy, we are excited to introduce the newest additions to our growing team who will help us meet our big, bold, audacious goals.

In the next few blog posts we will introduce to you the new faces at Dignitas, learning about their experiences, motivations and what drives them to contribute to Dignitas’ vision where schools are vibrant places for children to thrive and succeed.

Meet Beryl Adoyo Odhiambo who has joined Dignitas as a Leadership Coach. Beryl is an educator with 8 years of experience in training, mentoring and facilitating teachers to improve instructional methods of learning. She describes herself as self-driven and goal-oriented, believing in giving her best and putting herself out there.

“I believe teachers hold the keys to improving learning in our schools.”

– Coach Beryl

We sat with Beryl and asked her a few questions to help you get to know her better…

What excites you most about your role at Dignitas?

It gives me satisfaction to be an agent of change in our schools and community. Through my role as a leadership coach, I have the capacity to interact with teachers and School Leaders thus being able to bring my insights and knowledge in improving the quality of instruction in Dignitas partner schools.

What has influenced you most when it comes to your work ethic?

Being determined and dedicated to achieve set goals has really been impactful in my work because I’m able to set targets and work very hard at achieving them.

What are your biggest driving values in your work within the education space?

Inclusiveness, sustainability and transformation.

If you had one superpower, what would it be and how would you use it in your work at Dignitas?

The power of possibility – Being able to see greatness in the educators and learners in their capability to bring change in the quality of education.

What thing do you do every day that often goes unnoticed?

I use positive affirmations to guide myself throughout the day.

What advice would you give your younger self?

I would tell myself to be confident enough to go for what I want, always have a growth mindset and set myself for greatness.

Welcome to the team Beryl!
