Dr. Charles Obiero
Dr. Charles Obiero serves as the Lead Research, Monitoring, and Evaluation Expert for the Education Global Access Programme (EGAP) in Kenya and the Horn Population Research and Development (HPRD). Holding a Doctorate in Education from the University of Sussex, United Kingdom, a Master’s in Education Planning and Management from the International Institute of Education Planning (IIEP), France, and a dual Bachelor’s in Mathematics and Philosophy in Economics from the University of Nairobi, Kenya, Dr. Obiero boasts over 20 years of extensive experience in national and international education research, planning, and monitoring and evaluation.
His diverse expertise includes capacity building in SDG 4, education sector analysis, education financing, and EMIS, with a focus on Education in Emergencies (EIE). Currently, Dr. Obiero is actively engaged in providing consultancy support for various organizations, specializing in assessment, capacity development, and monitoring and evaluation. In his role as the technical lead, he has contributed his expertise to education programs for prominent entities such as the Economic Community of Western African States (ECOWAS), African Union (AU), Save the Children (SCI), World Food Programme (WFP), and the World Bank, among others.
