When Dignitas was first established in 2008, co-founders Tiffany and Bobby chose the Latin word for dignity – dignitas – to name the organization. They wanted their work to reflect the belief that all people are inherently valuable and that dignity and self-worth are reinforced through education.

Dignitas_Logo_BlogNow, seven years later, our team and our impact has grown significantly, but we are as committed as ever to dignity through education. We felt it was time to update our look, our logo and our website to best reflect who we are: a leading education development organization, empowering schools in marginalized communities through coaching and leadership training.

Our new logo was designed by talented graphic design Kelsey Premo Jones. The book represents our commitment to education, knowledge and teaching. The leaves bursting forth symbolize growth, empowerment and hope. The colors, typeface and overall design reflect our identity as a warm, optimistic, and modern organization.

With a new look and logo comes our new website, developed by Karibu Nyaggah. As our online home, the website shares the Dignitas story, outlines our unique model for school transformation, and highlights our impact on educators, schools and students. Meet the members of our team and board or get in touch with us directly!

Check in regularly as we share stories from the field on our blog, like our Coaching in Action Profile of Dignitas coach Shete Wangira.

And be sure to sign up to our mailing list so you don’t miss a thing!

At Dignitas, we’re proud of our innovative approach and the remarkable school transformation we’ve achieved.  We are delighted to have a new website and branding that reflects who we are, what we do and our deep respect for the educators, schools and communities with whom we partner.
