What are some of the ways you can give? Meet Grace Waruhiu who has been interning with Dignitas under the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning department. She’s supporting our current school recruitment process as we plan to expand our impact in 2019. Grace is currently a student at United States International University. She is working on her thesis for her Masters in International Relations.

I accepted the internship role at Dignitas because it one of the organizations that is committed to protection and development of children’s potential, which is integral for human progress. Having worked at Dignitas for a while, I have enjoyed the team spirit within the organization and the willingness of staff members to work together. As a new intern at Dignitas it did not take me long to become part of the team. I felt welcomed into the family. Being able to work collaboratively with smart and energetic people is awesome and I am enjoying my internship working with the best team ever!

My vision for children in Kenya is provide them with opportunities to develop and reach their full potential. Children in Kenya have the right to education. For these children to realize their full potential, much attention needs to be given to the quality of teaching in our schools. Therefore, we can only achieve this dream if we empower teachers in low cost primary schools to be leaders so that they can shape the future of the children.

I would encourage graduates and those willing to give back to the community to consider volunteering or interning with organizations like Dignitas. Such organizations are committed to give their best by empowering others to realize their full potential. I am always grateful to the Executive Director and the entire team for giving me this opportunity to grow both personally and professionally. I am looking forward to my future here as I strongly believe that Dignitas is an excellent organization where I develop my career.
