Technology has become an integral part of our lives today, paving the way for a large window of opportunities. In recent years, our eyes have opened up to the impact and importance of technology in learning. School leaders can now learn, work, research, collaborate, and independently develop knowledge largely because of the advent of the internet and information technology.
Dignitas and Team4Tech have partnered to develop and enhance accessibility of our e-learning platform, LeadNow to our various partner schools. LeadNow is a set of digital training and coaching tools that seeks to replicate the excellence of Dignitas programs in remote online training and coaching. However, due to the nature of the communities we strive to reach, access to gadgets sometimes poses as an obstacle. It is with this in mind that our friends at Team4Tech donated 65 tablets for use by our school leaders. These tablets have been distributed to our partner schools who need them most to facilitate professional development.
The Dignitas team distributed 30 tablets to our Ongoza Cohort, 15 tablets to our Early Years cohort and 15 tablets will be distributed to our pioneer LeadNow cohort. This drive was aimed at ensuring members have ease in accessing our online courses and engage in the various Communities of Practice (CoP’s) spaces with ease.
Teacher Lydia of Zion Glory Education center, “I have really had a challenge catching up with my sessions. I really felt bad that my peers were gaining momentum and I was lagging behind on the online courses on LeadNow. I am grateful to the team at Dignitas in ensuring we have these tablets, I can learn on LeadNow which is great and impactful in my area of teaching practice”.
Our approach as Dignitas is to empower teachers and school leaders because when we coach and train an educator, we are not just equipping an individual, we are empowering a leader to transform entire schools and shape the future of their community.
