Dr. Maurice Odondo

Dr. Maurice Odondo is a dynamic leader at the helm of the Kenya Education Management Institute (KEMI). With 13 years of dedicated service, he oversees a high-performing team of education officers and drives partnership engagement for this semi-autonomous government agency. Dr. Odondo’s passion lies in transforming the education sector through workforce skilling, research, and policy development. Beginning his career as an educator, he has successfully mobilized substantial funding to support teacher professional development across various education levels, including primary and secondary education, Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), as well as training for bursars, accountant clerks, county assemblies, and school boards of management. An eloquent speaker and published author, Dr. Odondo holds a PhD in Business Administration from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology and a Master’s in Business Administration from Kenyatta University.
