Message from Dignitas Project's Executive Director, Tiffany Cheng

After one year on the ground, we are still inspired and energized by our community to develop stronger, more equitable schools in our efforts to end poverty. Though some people may think of Dignitas Project as a fledgling organization, the truth is that we've learned — often through trial by fire — and reached a point now where collaborators and partners willingly take risks in order to walk alongside our efforts to launch new initiatives and strengthen existing programs. >> Read more

A few days ago, I was called to sort out a case that had arisen while I was assisting with out typhoid vaccination drive at St. Michael Education Centre. One of the students was in tears and crying his eyes out because he did not have a signed parental consent form that would allow the nurse to vaccinate him. When I tried to explain that we couldn't give him a shot because we didn't have his mum's consent, he cried even louder!   >> Read more
